4 Ways TPMS Sensor Programming:
TS501 enables all car enthusiasts to program sensor data to Autel MX-Sensors with ease, saving you the money and trip to a dealership. With TS501, you can program AUTEL MX-Sensor (315/433MHz) with 4 programming options: Copy By Activation, Copy By Manual Input, Auto Create and Copy by OBD( Not available with TS408) to replace the faulty sensor with low battery life or one that is not functioning well.
1.Copy by OBD:
If the IDs retrieved from sensor activation and those registered to the TPMS ECU are different, TS501 TPMS scanner will program the sensor IDs retrieved from the ECU to the new MX-Sensors.
At-A-Glance TPMS Status Screen:
The single screen organization allows you to easily read direct feedback from all 4 sensors, clearly understand the status of all TPMS features, compare sensor and ECU data, then instantly pinpoint system faults to identify the fix. This At-A-Glance view of all sensor information easily shows the location of which sensor battery is low and needs to be replaced soon.
2.Copy by Activation:
If the original sensor still can be activated, you can use the ITS600 activating tool to trigger it, obtain the original IDs, and then write them into the new MX-Sensors.
3.Manual Input:
If the original sensor is completely broken or can't be activated, you can find the old ID from the label, and manually input it to new MX-Sensors.
4.Auto Create:
If the original sensor cannot be activated or the original sensor ID cannot be obtained, you can use the TS501 TPMS scan tool to automatically create a new random ID to MX-Sensor. Auto Create 1-16 Sensors makes it possible to program up to 16 sensors
OBDII Connected TPMS Diagnostics:
The TS501 can provide relearn procedures for specific sensors and connect with the OBDII cord to the vehicle's ECU to offer multiple programming options including clone sensor IDs, or auto create ID, or manual write sensor IDs with no sensor re-learn required for sensor positioning.
Relearn All TPMS Sensors:
To turn off the TPMS warning light after replacement, you need to relearn the sensors to the vehicle! Autel TS501 TPMS Relearn Tool provides 3 ways of on-tool relearn precedures to relearn both OE and aftermarket sensors: Stationary Relearn, Automatic Relearn & OBD Relearn. NOTE: TS501 has added Relearn by OBD comparing with TS408.
1. OBD Relearn: OBD relearn allows the ITS600 reset tool to directly write the TPMS sensor IDs to the TPMS module via the OBD connector to make the on-board TPMS modules recognize the new sensors.
2. Automatic Relearn: For some vehicles, the "Relearn" function can be completed automatically by driving, which makes it quite easy to do a complete set of sensor replacement operations on your own.
3. Stationary Relearn: This relearn way requires the vehicle to be placed in the "Relearn Mode" and follow the on-screen instructions to finish "Relearn".
