These special function is NOT for all car models
This option allows you to detect whether the system parameters are normal or not. It mainly includes: Injector test, fuel pump test, purge control solenoid and so on. In addition to amazing & powerful diagnostic function, X-431 Diagun V also features various service functions. The most commonly performed service functions contain:
Oil Reset :allows you to perform reset for a new calculation of Engine Oil Life system once changed the oil.
EPB Reset :is important in the maintenance of electronic braking system's safety and efficiency.
BMS Reset:allows the scan tool to evaluate the battery charge state, monitor the close-circuit current, register the battery replacement, and activate the rest state of the vehicle.
DPF Reset:specially works for Diesel Particulate Filter system with DPF regeneration, DPF component replacement teach-in and DPF teach-in after replacing the engine control unit.
SAS Reset:helps clear the fault steering angle sensor memories and plays an important role in the steering angle sensor calibration.
TPMS Reset :makes sense in displaying sensor IDs from the vehicle's ECU, inputting TPMS sensor replacement IDs and testing sensors.
IMMO reset:it is mainly used to disable the lost vehicle keys and program a new replacement key fob.
ABS Bleeding:ABS brake bleeding to get a firm brake pad after air exhaustion.
Throttle reset:The throttle body is a tube containing a pivoting flat valve (butterfly) that is used to control the amount ofair entering an engine. In an electronically fuel injected car, a throttle position sensor and air flow sensorcommunicate with the computer, which supplies the corresponding amount of fuel needed at the injectors. It must need re-learning throttle sensor position after clearing or repair.
Gear Learning:The scan tool monitors certain camshaft position sensors signals to determine if all conditions are met to continue with the procedure for Engine running.
Injector Coding:Leaking injectors and some dead injectors can be missed even when an injector is disabled. Otherproblems with the ignition system and mechanical components also may not show an rpm loss when aninjector is turned off.

Version Information
This function is used to read the version information of system mode, vehicle VIN, software and ECU.
Read Fault Code
This function displays the detailed information of DTC records retrieved from the vehicle's control system.
Clear Fault Code
After reading the retrieved codes from the vehicle and certain repairs have been carried out, you can use this function to erase the codes from the vehicle. Before performing this function, please be sure the vehicle's ignition key is in the ON position with the engine off.
Clearing DTCs does not fix the problem(s) that caused the code(s) to be set. If proper repairs to correct the problem that caused the code(s) to be set are not made, the code(s) will appear again and the check engine light will illuminate as soon as the problem that cause the DTC to set manifests itself.
Read Data Stream
This option lets you view and capture (record) real-time Live Data. This data including current operating status for parameters and/or sensor information can provide insight on overall vehicle performance. It can also be used to guide vehicle repair.
Actuation Test
This option is used to access vehicle-specific subsystem and component tests.
Available test vary by vehicle manufacturer, year, and model.
During the actuation test, the Phoenix Pro handset outputs commands to the ECU in order to drive the actuators, and then determines the integrity of the system or parts by reading the ECU data, or by monitoring the operation of the
actuators, such as switching a injector between two operating states.

What is ECU Coding?
The advanced coding function is used to re-flash the vehicle control modules, which allows you to update the computer software on the vehicle to the latest version, as well as to reprogram adaptive data for certain components after making repairs or replacements, providing solutions for the issues of drivability, fuel efficiency, power loss, fault codes, durability of mechanical parts etc. But please note, ecu coding are NOT universal for all vehicles, please check compatibility with VIN number before purchase.
What is Active Test &Bi-directional control?
Bi-Directional Control capability and is capable of performing Active Tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester outputs commands to the ECU to drive the actuators in order to determine the integrity of the system or parts by reading the ECU data, or by monitoring the operation of the actuators .For example , x431 v have the ability to actuate relays, injectors, coils, or perform system tests, etc. Also it will actuate solenoids valve and actuators for active testing to identify the error easily moreover. The bidirectional functions are quite extensive. even open an e.g.r. valve and seeing the difference in idle response and oxygen sensor voltage. Please note: Active tests are NOT universal for all vehicles, check compatibility with VIN number before purchase. Active tests vary depending on the manufacturer, year, and model, and only the available tests display in the menu.
